Hey there! Welcome to this week’s Monday Motivator to help inspire you to the achievement of all of your health, fitness, and fat loss goals!
As a San Jose personal trainer for many years, I know that clients can get afraid every now and then. And I understand. Perhaps you’re afraid that you don’t have what it takes to prepare meals in advance, to stop bad eating habits, to exercise more frequently, or to continue these good patterns until it becomes a part of your lifestyle. Ultimately, maybe you are afraid that you just won’t ever achieve your goals.
I think this quote by poet Guillaume Apollinaire sums this up absolutely perfectly. He said this:
“Come to the edge. We can’t. We’re afraid. We can’t. We will fall!
Come to the edge. And they came. And he pushed them. And they flew.”
I know this stuff is hard. It’s hard to say “No” to foods and to decline desserts and to make time for exercise with busy schedules of work, family, holidays and thensome.
But if you really expect to achieve the body of your dreams and that lean, toned figure you have wanted then that is what it takes. It takes coming to the edge and taking a leap of faith into the unknown.
If you’re part of our san jose boot camps at Fast Action Training, then you understand why I am always encouragingly pushing you to excel and to challenge yourself. It’s because I know that if you dig down deep and continue on this path, then you WILL achieve your goals. Whether it’s by next month or next year it WILL happen and I have faith in that. Do you?
So, my faithful reader, have you challenged yourself to fly yet? Will you? Have you truly stepped outside of your comfort zones and pushed yourself to embrace a healthy lifestyle?
Leave me a comment below and let me know what you have done recently to “learn to fly,” or what you plan to do!
I guarantee that if you embrace these challenges and have faith in yourself that you will meet “with a success unexpected in common hours.” (another great one by my favorite Henry Thoreau).
Have a terrific start to your week!
Dedicated to your success,
John Heringer and the F.A.T. Team

John, I love that by Guillaume Apollinaire, I’ve never heard it before. So true. For me it’s so much easier to look at the small picture, what have I done today to contribute to my overall goal. It’s just one day. Before I know it my one day is 6 months of continued achievement. Thank you for always inspiring or is that perspiring?
@Terri, you are very welcome and you have been extremely consistent!! And so glad that it has been paying off with inches and pounds! P.s. you are very welcome for both the inspiration and the perspiration.
